Honey Cake
Ingredients: honey, butter, eggs, salt, sugar, flour, vanilla
Medovik, or Russian honey cake is comprised of layers of caramelised honey biscuit-like layers sandwiched between a sour cream frosting. The cake needs to be refrigerated overnight to allow the biscuit layers to soften by absorbing moisture from the cream. A bit more effort is required to make this cake than your regular sponge but look how amazing it is!
